Yoga Gyan Journey (“we”, “us” or “our”) provides educational information and exam-preparation services for UGC-NET/JRF and SET examinations and Yoga-related subjects through our website and mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be collected, how it is used, and the choices available to users.
1. Information We May Collect
- Account information: Name and email address provided when registering or signing in to the app. Authentication is handled through Firebase Authentication. We do not receive or have access to your password in readable form.
- Learning and access information: Account identifiers, course or test selections, and records used to provide access to restricted learning materials.
- Website payment-related information: If you request access after making a payment through our website, we may ask for a transaction/reference ID and the selected plan to verify the payment. Do not send passwords, UPI PINs, OTPs, or full card details.
- Technical information: Limited device, diagnostic, or usage information may be processed by services that host or support the website, authentication, database, and app.
2. How We Use Information
We may use information to create and manage accounts, provide learning materials and test access, verify website payments where applicable, respond to enquiries, maintain security, troubleshoot issues, and meet legal obligations.
3. App Registration and Login
Users may register in the app by providing their name, email address, and password. Login is performed using email and password through Firebase Authentication. The app may retain the login session so users do not need to enter credentials every time they open the app. Some free content may be available without login, while access to restricted content requires an account and appropriate access permission.
4. Firebase and Data Storage
We use Google Firebase services, including Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore, where configured, to support account authentication and manage learning-content access. Access permissions for restricted learning materials may be activated by an administrator after the applicable website payment or access request has been verified.
5. Payments and Paid Access
The Yoga Gyan Journey mobile app does not contain an in-app payment gateway, UPI payment facility, or payment-processing system. Payments, where offered, are made separately through our website and are not processed inside the mobile app. After a website payment is verified, an administrator may manually activate the user's access permission in our database. Submitting a payment request or transaction reference alone does not mean payment has been verified or access has been activated.
6. Learning Materials, Google Drive and YouTube
Some educational PDFs or other learning materials may be hosted on Google Drive. Video classes or educational videos may be provided through YouTube, including unlisted YouTube links. These providers may process information under their own privacy policies and terms.
7. Sharing of Information and Service Providers
We may rely on third-party providers for website hosting, authentication, database, file hosting, and video delivery, including Google/Firebase, Google Drive, and YouTube where configured. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information where required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect users, our services, or our legal rights.
8. Data Security
We use reasonable safeguards intended to protect information. However, no website, internet transmission, or electronic storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
9. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, maintain account and learning-access records, resolve disputes, maintain security, and comply with applicable legal obligations. Where information is no longer required, we will take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it, subject to applicable retention requirements.
10. Account and Data Deletion
Users can request deletion of their Yoga Gyan Journey account and associated personal information directly through this Privacy Policy page by emailing yogyagyanjourney98@gmail.com from their registered email address. Use the subject “Account and Data Deletion Request” and include your name and registered email address. We may request reasonable information to verify your identity. After verifying a request, we will delete the account and associated personal information that we control, including applicable Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore records, subject to applicable legal requirements. Some records may need to be retained for legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution. Any retained information will be limited to what is necessary and kept only for the required period.
This section of the Privacy Policy is the public web resource for submitting an account and data deletion request. Users must also be able to initiate account deletion from within the mobile app. The in-app deletion option must be implemented before the app is submitted as compliant with Google Play account-deletion requirements.
11. Children's Privacy
Our services are intended for exam candidates and learners and are not specifically directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review the request.
12. External Links
Our website or app may link to third-party services such as YouTube, Instagram, WhatsApp, or Google Drive. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and we encourage you to review those policies.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our services or practices change. The updated version will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
